Join us at L!VE Café & Creative Space as we round out the end of Black History Month with a evening of life, learning, and legacy. The Wind on Their Backs is an evening that allows us to summon our ancestors and their voices back to our recollection, back to our rememory. Echo Theater Collective and L!VE Café and Creative Space are teaming up to present "The Wind On Their Backs", an evening of community activists of the African Diaspora reading the words of some of our greatest voices from their past. Curated by ShaRhonda Knott-Dawson and directed by Maui Jones, this guided evening of reflection and meditation will help us reflect on our history and find inspiration to take action. Following the reading selection will be a conversation about coalition building and empowering beloved community through grassroot action.
